Helpful Tips Before Your Session

To make the most of your photo shoot, Deer Baby Photography shares a few practical tips for families:

Arrive early

Please arrive on time, ideally 10–15 minutes early. Sessions cannot be extended if you arrive late. If you’re running behind, text your photographer, understanding they may be with another client.

What to bring

Snacks, water, and a backup outfit are always a good idea, especially with young children. An umbrella is recommended in case of light rain.

Weather policy

Sessions run rain or shine. For severe weather, the team will reschedule. If you don’t hear from them, your shoot is still on. Final weather decisions are made the night before or the day of the session.

Sickness policy

Kids get sick, it happens. Your family’s health always comes first. For cancellations made less than 72 hours before the session, a $150 cancellation fee applies, as the time slot cannot usually be filled on short notice.
