We handle the planning, safest routes, and logistics so you can relax and enjoy a safe, stress-free adventure together.

Your private guide will keep things fun and engaging and bring history to life. We bring everything you need, bikes, helmets, healthy snacks, and brand-new water bottles (yours to keep). With plenty of stops to explore key sites, riders of all ages and abilities can stay together.

Have little ones too small to ride on their own, or a family member who needs extra support? No problem. With our “precious cargo bike,” tag-alongs, and tandem, everyone can be included. We’re happy to customize the experience so your whole crew has a great time.

See DC’s most iconic landmarks at a pace that works for your family. Visit the White House, the National Mall, and memorials to Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Washington, Vietnam, Korea, and World War II. Want more? Add in the Jefferson Memorial, Smithsonian museums, the US Capitol, or some kid-friendly hidden gems.

Monuments at Night

A favorite for families! Ride through the city after dark and see the monuments beautifully lit against the night sky. The peaceful atmosphere makes it easy for kids and parents alike to enjoy the sights, and we’ll add a few special stops that sparkle at night.

When the British Burned Washington
8–10 miles · about 4 hours
For kids who like a good story, this ride brings some dramatic history to life. In 1814, British troops burned nearly every major building in DC, including the White House and Capitol. We’ll follow their path, hear tales of bravery and blunders, and learn how the city narrowly escaped total destruction.

Perfect for families who’ve “seen it all.” We’ll take you to fascinating, often-overlooked sites that even locals miss. These hidden gems are paired with fun stories and plenty of photo ops, and we can also include a few classic Mall stops so the kids get the best of both worlds.

DC Cycling Concierge Cancellation Policy

We provide full refunds for any cancellations 30 days in advance. If you cancel less than 30 days before your tour you will be refunded 50%.

 

Bad Weather Cancellation Policy

We never want our guests to be uncomfortable or ride in dangerous conditions. If we need to cancel a tour due to bad weather, we will work to reschedule your tour with you. If we can’t reschedule, we will be happy to issue a full refund.
